Can I record my microphone and screen audio together?

Yes. Enable both the source-audio and microphone options before recording. The tool will attempt to mix them into the same recording.

Can I add my webcam to the recording?

Yes. Enable Camera Overlay and choose your camera, position, size and shape.

Can I hide my webcam while recording?

Yes. Use the Hide Camera button to remove the webcam overlay temporarily. You can show it again before the recording ends.

Can I mute my microphone during a recording?

Yes. The microphone can be muted and unmuted while the recording is active.

Can I pause a screen recording?

Yes. Click Pause to temporarily stop capturing new recording data, then click Resume when you are ready to continue.

Can I take a screenshot?

What video format will I receive?

The tool selects a recording format supported by your browser. The downloaded file will normally use WebM or MP4, depending on browser support.

Where is my recording saved?

After clicking Download Video, the recording is saved to your browser’s normal download location.

Is my recording uploaded?

No. The recording is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded by this tool.

Why did my recording not include audio?

Possible reasons include:

• Source audio was not enabled in the recorder
• The browser’s Share Audio option was not selected
• The chosen window or screen did not provide an audio track
• The browser or operating system does not support audio for that source
• The microphone permission was declined

Try recording a browser tab and make sure its audio-sharing option is selected.

Why can I not start recording?

Check that:

• You are using a modern browser
• Screen-sharing permission was granted
• The page is loaded over a secure HTTPS connection
• Another application is not already blocking the screen, camera or microphone
• The page remains active while opening the source picker

Refresh the page and try again if the browser’s sharing window was closed or cancelled.

How long can I record?

You can choose no automatic limit or stop the recording automatically after 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes.

Very long recordings can create large files and may be affected by the memory and performance available on your device.

Can I use the recording on YouTube or social media?

Yes. You can use your downloaded recording in video-editing software or upload it to platforms that accept its video format.

Make sure you have permission to record and republish any third-party videos, music, images, software or private conversations that appear in your recording.
